So after 6 months of working, I have accumulated around 12-14 days of annual leave. Since I have already handed in my notice, I have decided to take all my annual leave before starting my new job. Too bad they won’t let me take off my night shift! To be honest, I quite miss working life. I know people do say, cherish your days off, once you started working, you can’t get many days off. Even though I am bored out of my mind at times, I have done a few things during my days off.
I went to try on and find my wedding dresses, after these two weeks I now know what kind of dress suits me best, or what kind of dress I like. After many a try on, I have found the one that wowed me and I love it. When I looked at it the first time, I wasn’t sure whether it will look good on me. I was going to go for something simple and plain yet nice and elegant. It ended up completely opposite. So I gave it a go, and I think I fell in love with it straight away. It was obvious that I really liked it, think it was written all over my face. I didn’t make any decisions that day, then I booked another appointment to try on more dresses.
So I went back the week after and gave different styles of dresses a go. I even tried on a white one, but don’t think it suited me and I didn’t like it at all. Fishtail style dresses are nice, but I personally don’t like them much because I couldn’t really move around in them. Also, after trying on different ones, I prefer dresses that have laced up on the back, rather than zips. Think it’s more figure-hugging. Then I tried on the dress I like the most last week, I still loved it! and I know that’s the dress I am going for. I will post the picture after my wedding. Don’t wanna spoil it for anyone 🙂
I think most importantly when you try on wedding dresses is that you give all the different styles a go, even though you might not like the look of it or you think it might not suit you. Once you tried it on, it might actually change your opinion of that dress! Also, I would recommend going to different bridal shops because sometimes smaller boutiques do different designs of dresses, not saying that bigger boutiques aren’t as good. Just need to look around until you found a dress that you know it’s the one!
UPDATE: Here is a picture of me in my wedding dress.
